The Training Centre conducts over 11 LNG focussed research projects under three themes
Theme #1 Optimising Natural Gas Processing & LNG Production
Optimisation of LNG process plant to improve facilities design and operation, increasing production capacity and reducing downtime and operating costs.
Theme #2 Flow Assurance & Subsea Processing for Reliable Deepwater Production
Smaller FLNG facilities and/or deeper water production require more processing be done subsea and reduced inventories of chemical hydrate inhibitors.
Theme #3 Advanced Gas Separations & Storage Processes
More effective, efficient or cheaper means of safely removing natural gas contaminants, or capturing high-value trace components, are central to the evolution and diversification of LNG production technology.
