LNG Futures Partner Investigator Professor Yutaek Seo of Seoul National University recently led a group of 23 researchers to visit UWA. This included a morning with LNG Futures and the Fluid Science and Resources research group. The group included students, post graduates and professors from the department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at SNU. The visit builds on a previous collaboration with Yutaek in the area of Flow Assurance.
LNG Futures Professor Eric May presented an overview of the Fluid Science & Resources and LNG Futures. This was followed by Chief Investigator Dr Zach Aman who presented on the group’s Flow Assurance research including work on the CSIRO Flow Loop, Magic Oils and other Flow Assurance activities. SNU PhD Student Hyunho Kim also presented her research focusing on under inhibition of hydrates with Mone Ethylene Glycol (MEG) and the MEG regeneration process.
On conclusion of the presentations the group toured the laboratories at the ARRC and concluded with networking and discussion over lunch.
