Partner Investigator, VMGSim
Brent is Head of Department at the Auckland University School of Chemical & Materials Engineering. Research expertise is in mathematical modelling to design and optimise manufacturing processes, in particular in the application areas of food and energy. Prior to starting with the University of Auckland Brent was the supervisor of Dr Raul Cota as a Masters and PhD student at the University of Calgary for the development of sim42, the process simulator that was the open source precursor to the commercial simulator VMGSim. Since then Brent has maintained his R&D linkages with Virtual Materials Group as their Australasian Associate.
